1974 photo of Fire Chief Bill Snyder with his kids Lisa 10, and Robert 12, display a 12-pound homemade Napoleon cannon that Bill (along with his brother Russell) Snyder had built in his and machine shop on east main street . He acquired the plans from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. The gun is a working model of Civil War type.  His historic home and that shop building are still there, but both looked like they were remodeled in the past year or so.
