What to Expect: Celebrate love with a 15-minute ceremony in a beautiful, historic setting at the Tomball Museum Center. Choose from the Chapel, Gazebo, or Griffin House porch. Venue rental is free, with limited seating for additional guests. You provide the something new, borrowed, and blue. We’ll provide something old—your historic wedding venue!

Wedding Service Fee = $50 (cash only)
Marriage License Application Fee = $81 (Texas residents) OR $181 (non-Texas residents)

Participants can sign up for a 15-minute slot at either the church OR the gazebo/Griffin House porch, located on the museum’s grounds.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are highly encouraged and prioritized. Walk-ins may be accommodated if availability allows but are not guaranteed.

Are guests welcome?
There will be limited seating for guests.
Can we take photos?
Couples may take photos in front of historic houses, except in areas with active ceremonies. Decorated photo areas will also be available.
Personal photographers, flowers, and traditional items (something borrowed, new, and blue) are welcome. We’ll provide something old—your historic wedding site!
By registering, you and all photographed parties consent to the release and use of photos taken by the City of Tomball, the Harris County Clerk’s Office, and/or the Tomball Museum Center for marketing purposes.
What should we do once we arrive?
Please arrive at the museum at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete the necessary paperwork. When you arrive, please sign in at the Fellowship Hall (signs will help direct you).
What is the event schedule?
Ceremonies will take place every 15 minutes at each location.
When you arrive, please check in at the Fellowship Hall (signs will direct you).
After your ceremony, return to the Fellowship Hall and file the marriage license with the Harris County Clerk’s Office. You will then be able to leave with your official, signed, and filed marriage license in hand.
Are there any requirements?
- Couples must meet Harris County marriage requirements.
- Both applicants must present a valid U.S. government-issued photo ID or a certified birth certificate (if the female applicant has not been previously married).
- If your ID does not reflect Texas residency, please bring proof of residency.
Can we pay with a card?
The wedding services fee is CASH ONLY ($50).
The Harris County Clerk Marriage License Application fee can be paid by cash, check (payable to Harris County Clerk), or credit card.
What are the accommodations for visitors?
The museum grounds are mostly handicapped accessible. However, a couple of stairs lead up to the church, the Griffin House, and the gazebo.
Handicapped participants and guests may be dropped off at the front of the museum.
Where should we park?
Parking will be available next to the museum on the corner of Pine St. and Hicks St. There will also be two lots further down Pine St. on the corners of Kane St. and Houston St. (below the Lutheran Church). Most parking near the museum is free.
Those needing handicap accessibility will be able to be dropped off at the front of the museum.
What if it rains that day?
This is a “rain or shine” event.
